Etta’s first job at Marvel Comics combined her love of storytelling with a strong commercial instinct that was the foundation of her decades-long career in publishing and television. She worked extensively in licensed and mass-market publishing before transferring her skills to the small screen working at World Productions and Carlton Television as an executive producer. Moving into audio production, she produced and directed countless stories working with talented musicians and household name actors. Returning to print, she wrote numerous books for children under the name Hettie Bingham. For the last decade she has worked across multiple genres as a publisher for trade and mass-market imprints.
“Stories are for everyone and can be made accessible to all, whatever the retail environment or medium. However content is delivered to its audience, an engaging and compelling narrative of integrity and substance is what counts above all else.”
Now, turning her hand to the adult market, she spends her time writing commercial fiction for women. Her novels are nostalgic and intriguing, with eccentric characters that bring humorous warmth to the mysteries as they unfold. Her prose are gentle, accessible and light with a feel that is cosy, fun and pacey.
